The Baptist Toy Store Ministry began in 1983 to provide families in need with Christmas gifts for their children. Since that time, the Baptist Toy Stores have grown from one location to five locations across our association!

 

Families in need can apply for Christmas assistance. Referrals are also gained from local school counselors and area churches. Local churches help by collecting new gifts for children birth - 8th grade. These gifts should range in price from $10-$30 each. Businesses, individuals and churches also make monetary donations to help support the toy stores of the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association. 

 

In addition to receiving gifts, each parent is given the opportunity to meet and pray with one of our Toy Store volunteer counselors. Our goal is not only to provide gifts at Christmas, but to share the Good News of Jesus - a gift that lasts forever. Families have the opportunity to share about any additional needs in the home and follow-up is made by area churches. 

 

Glenn View is the host church for the Eastern Forsyth Christmas Toy Store which is held each December. This Toy Store ministry is a collaborative effort of several area churches, with additional support from the Triad Church Network. Parents are able to apply for Christmas assistance and are then invited to attend the Toy Store event where they can choose brand new gifts for their children age birth - 8th grade. Free gifts, coats, food and other items are given to approximately 100 families each year. Collection for the Toy Store happens year round, but the primary collection time is in the month of November.
