Local

We believe that serving others is vital to our Christian walk with Christ.

“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone…” Gal. 6:10a.

Serving others is a way to show our love for God and others it also helps us grow as a disciple of Jesus.

Community Events

Glenn View Baptist Church desires to be a staple in the community. That is why we regularly look for ways to get involved in our community.

Here are the 2 ways we do this…

  1. We encourage everyone in our congregation to be active in the community. From volunteering, leading events, serving wherever they see a need.

  2. Our church regularly plans community events such as Festivals, Teacher Appreciation/Hospitality Rooms at local schools, Blood Drives, Community Easter Events and Fall "Trunk or Treat" Events for children and families, Back to School Resource Give-aways and more.

Backpack Buddies

Backpack buddies is a ministry to provide weekend meals to kids in our community who are in need. We provide take home snack bags over the weekend for kids who may not have any other food. We work with local schools that identify the kids in need and to distribute the bags to them discretely into their backpacks. You can drop off items for this ministry in the connecter hall.

  • Items needed- Applesauce; Cheese crackers (no peanut butter), Microwave popcorn, Rice krispy treats, Spagettios/Ravioli, Raisins, Animal Crackers, Fruit Snacks, Granola, Ziplock bags, Cheez-its, Oatmeal, Pudding cups.

Bags of Hope

“Bags of Hope” is an outreach ministry to homeless. This ministry is based on the Jesus teaching in Matt. 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” All too often we see homeless people in our communities that are holding signs that ask for our help, and all too often we walk or drive away without offering any assistance.

As followers of Christ, we should help those that are in need. Bags of Hope can help us meet some of the physical needs of homeless individuals while also addressing their greatest need, the need for a hope-filled relationship with Jesus Christ. The great thing about Glenn View Baptist Church’s Bags of Hope Ministry is that EVERYONE can be involved in some way.

"Four Ways to Help Bags of Hope"

  1. Donate items for the Bags (Donations can be made at Glenn View in the connecter hall)

Food Pantry

Glenn View’s food pantry is here to help those that are going through a tough time and in need of some assistance. We realize how blessed we simple to know Christ as Lord and Savior, but to also to be blessed financially so that we can help others is truly humbling to us. The food pantry at Glenn View seeks to do more than just provide a meal. We also want to point to the bread of life which is Jesus Christ. If the Lord has blessed you and you would like to donate food to our food pantry drop offs can be made during office hours at the church or in the connecter hallway on Sunday mornings.
